Rally of Great Britain - November 2010

November is an exciting month in the Welsh automotive calendar, Rally car at the Wales Rally GB  as once again  Wales plays host to the final leg of the World Rally Championship. Mid November 2010, professional Rally teams and Motorsport enthusiasts from around the world will converge upon South Wales to enjoy what are arguably the fastest forest stages of the Rally. With the unpredictable weather, the drivers face a number of different conditions for each stage and enjoy the challenges this presents.

Rally of Great Britain (formerly Wales Rally GB) is a proven event, in 2009 attracting global media attention from an estimated 600 journalists and a worldwide television audience of over 800 million. With ticket sales on the increase reflecting the popularity of this stage of the Rally with competitors from 32 countries and an entry of 118 cars – the largest in this year’s WRC and the best UK total for five years. Of the 111 official starters, 82 were classified as finishers.

The 2010 FIA World Rally Championship calendar and Wales Rally GB is confirmed as the 13th and final round. The 66th running of this event, which first ran in 1932, is scheduled to run from 12th to 14th November. Details of the Start, competitive route and Finish locations will be confirmed in due course.
