THE MARKET
India is a market that cannot be ignored by Welsh companies that are seeking to expand and go international. India is the second fastest growing economy, after China. The business opportunities, which a few years ago, existed only in the traditional economic heartlands of Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore have now stretched to the emerging cities of Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Pune and Jaipur, to name but a few.

Market Assistance
The Mission aims to assist new and experienced Welsh exporters to succeed in India.  Through our network of contacts, International Business Wales can provide market research, industry contacts and help with business etiquette.

The Cost
The cost of the Mission, net of an International Business Wales 50% discount towards travel and accommodation for eligible Welsh companies, is £795.  The price includes return economy airfares, internal transfers, 5 nights accommodation with breakfast, in-market briefing and evening reception plus a pre-mission briefing in Wales. This offer is available to one participant per eligible Wales based company.  Although the trade mission base is Mumbai, we will assist Welsh companies with their travel arrangements to any other city where business opportunities exist within India.

VISA Arrangements – Our appointed travel agent will be able to provide delegates with an Indian Business VISA at a surplus cost.  Delegates will be responsible for arranging their own travel insurance.

It is important to recognise that the resources and effort which go into arranging these activities and the financial support offered to participating companies are, in reality, a direct investment by the Welsh Assembly Government into Welsh companies. It is essential therefore, that through International Business Wales, the Assembly ensures that it invests wisely. Therefore, all participating companies need to demonstrate a clear commitment to maximising opportunities, either in terms of identifying and securing business, or in exploring market potential.
