2sys bases its expansion plans in Wales
2sys, an established company that specialises in developing web-hosted software management systems for business across a number of sectors, is expanding its operations into Wales.
The company, which employs ten people in Malmesbury, plans to more than double staff numbers and create sixteen new jobs in Wales as the business expands and is currently recruiting.
2sys will use their new Welsh base in Technium Springboard, Cwmbran, for the UK roll out of a management system it has developed for veterinary practices. VetIT is one of three key platforms developed by 2sys targeting specific market sectors.
The company’s expansion has been supported by the Welsh Assembly Government and the investment welcomed by Ieuan Wyn Jones, Minister for the Economy and Transport.
“Under the Economic Renewal programme we have identified six key sectors with high growth potential to support the Welsh economy which includes information and communication technologies. It is therefore good to see that 2sys, an innovative company in the IT sector, has chosen to base its expansion in Wales.”
Chairman Nick Cole said their web-hosted systems are geared to enable small and medium sized enterprises run their businesses more efficiently and in the most cost effective way.
2sys management systems are gaining significant market share he said because they are fully web-hosted and companies do not have to maintain a server-based system or employ specialist support staff.
“Our systems provide simple access for all users across different locations whether they are at head office, a branch office or even home-workers. We are now looking to expand the business in Wales and will be rolling out the new VetIT system to practices across the UK.
“Vets are often called out in the evenings or weekends and VetIT enables them to access data or information on these animals at any time through remote broadband - even if they’re working in a field.”
VetIT provides support for all types of practice including small animal, mixed, equine and hospital and manages appointments, procedures, billing, accounts, patient reminders, stock, reporting, task lists.
It is designed to increase practice revenue through reminders, emails, SMS messages and client login to the system.
One of 2sys’s top selling products is Genius - a flexible and innovative on-line learning and testing facility. It is geared for large organisations that need to ensure staff receive regulatory training on areas as diverse as health and safety and financial legislation.
“We provide the infrastructure and framework and work with organisations that generate the content and tests.
“It is a cheaper and easier to use option than face to face learning, allows organisations to keep staff up-dated with all the latest legislation they need to be aware of while providing organisations with an audit trail.”
Genius is used to provide financial education to clients like St James’s Place, part of Lloyds banking, and mandatory aviation safety training through EDUKi to all staff employed in airports - including retail and hospitality staff.
The company has also developed bespoke systems for individual clients including the engine behind the Genes Reunited family tree application that was introduced to the Friends Reunited website.
