Accelero secures contracts with major Japanese insurer

Bridgend-based Accelero is making risk assessment faster and more secure for Tokio Marine Europe Insurance Ltd (TMEI) – one of Japan’s biggest and longest-established insurers.

Accelero image Wynne Crompton and Kelvin Jones, founders of Accelero Accelero has designed bespoke software that enables TMEI’s specialist engineers to record data used to assess the risks in providing insurance for corporate customers. The multi-lingual system is already in use across France, Germany and Spain.

In February TMEI gave Accelero the go-ahead to extend the system support for underwriters.

The system is based on PC Pen technology, developed with a grant from the Bridgend Economic Forum. The PC Pen recognises handwriting on paper carrying a unique pattern, and exports recognised data to a machine-readable format.
