Accelero secures contracts with major Japanese insurer
Bridgend-based Accelero is making risk assessment faster and more secure for Tokio Marine Europe Insurance Ltd (TMEI) – one of Japan’s biggest and longest-established insurers.
Accelero has designed bespoke software that enables TMEI’s specialist engineers to record data used to assess the risks in providing insurance for corporate customers. The multi-lingual system is already in use across France, Germany and Spain.
In February TMEI gave Accelero the go-ahead to extend the system support for underwriters.
The system is based on PC Pen technology, developed with a grant from the Bridgend Economic Forum. The PC Pen recognises handwriting on paper carrying a unique pattern, and exports recognised data to a machine-readable format.
