Team Wales are off to Paris

After a successful presence at Farnborough International Air Show this year, ‘Team Wales’ are off to Paris Air Show 2009 which celebrates its Centenary next year.

Welsh companies Excel Assemblies, MPI Aviation, The Tritech Group, Airborne Systems, LMg solutions, Saygrove, CETIC and Technium Performance Engineering  exhibited on the Welsh stand at Paris in 2007.

Here are some Show statistics from tha last Paris Airshow:

• 153,920 trade visitors
• 131,217 sq. m. of exhibition area
• 192,000 sq. m. of static aircraft display area
• 363 chalet units
• 142 aircraft on display, including over 40 in the flying displays
• 1,996 exhibitors from 42 countries
• Over 770,000 visitors in total (trade, public, official delegations, press, exhibitors)
• 150 official defence delegations from 60 countries
• 40 transport/civil aviation delegations from 20 countries
• Over 3,500 registered journalists
